How I am Learning Computer Vision — Pt.1
Objective
- Learn Computer Vision
- Share my Learning Path
Intro
And as I said in my last post I was hired as BI Analyst.
And If you read my post “How I Got into the World of Data Science” you already know part of my history and how I got to where I am right now. So let me quote myself below:
This weekend I started the course of Computer Vision, and again… I felt the same when I started using Excel and Python. Maybe it will be my future, specialize in Computer Vision. — How I Got into the World of Data Science
This science a incredibly broader area with tens of options… but as I wrote above, Computer Vision got me!
I made some few courses in the area, they were all superficial, and today, 17/07/2022 (ironically, my birthday), I stepped up … I chose the book: Programming Computer Vision With Python as my initial step towards my formation in Computer Vision.
Learn how to see. Realize that everything connects to everything else. — Leonardo da Vinci
Why Computer Vision
I like it, I will learn it anyway.
Just kidding… I am capable of listing some advantages that also attracted me during my researches.
Salary
Outlook
According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, Job Outlook (2020–2030) 22% Growth.
Fascinating
Self driving cars, robots, waste classification… all of these things are possible because of the Computer Vision.
High-Skilled
Python, C++, OpenCV, Statistics, Neural Networks, Linear Algebra…the knowledge haul required to be a professional in this area requires a lot of study, it’s not that easy to find such a high-skilled worker.
You can also help
Maybe you can help the blind, maybe you want to tackle climate change or even a autonomous robot to explore the craters of the moon and mars.
I’ll will try my best to keep this blog up to date.
I hope you enjoy my story.
